Using Lefty is quite easy. After you setup your account, you just Like the people who interests you in the Home page. When a person likes you back, you have a Match and you two can start chatting.
Important: The people you see in the Home page are sorted mostly by Last Online. You can change that ordering at the floating blue icon on the top-left corner. The other options are: by distance and by new users first.
Filters
You may click the filter icon on the top of the Home screen and filter people by age and distance.
Hide Profiles
You can slide left to hide a user’s profile in the Home screen. This only means the user will not show up in the Home screen anymore. You may even hide people you liked and you will still Match with them, if they like you back. If you change your mind, the hidden users can later be found and Unhide at Settings -> Hidden Profiles.
Hiding is also available at the profile menu (three points at the top-right corner).
Exclude Profiles
Hiding is available at the profile menu (three points at the top-right corner). Excluding someone’s profile means you don’t want to see, Match or talk to that person. You will no longer see each other, whether you’ve had a Match or not.
Block Profiles
Blocking a profile is similar to excluding it. It is also available at the profile menu (three points at the top-right corner). The difference is that you block the user even from contacting you in specific scenarios, when they would still see your profile, such as if you liked them before excluding. So, if the person is bothering you, you can use the block feature. You may consider report the user as well, in case you believe the user is a fake or scam (see below).
Report Abuse
You can report fake/ scammers using the three points menu at the profile’s top-right corner. We take this issue very seriously and ban users on a daily basis, based on the reports. You can also block them immediately after you report.
Also be sure to always follow our safety tips.
We are investing in intelligence systems to identify and ban these scammers before they cause trouble. Some of these systems are already in place. Unfortunately, not all of them get blocked. BTW, one of the safety tips above is to chat more through the app before exchanging other means of communication. If they ask for your number or email right away, beware!
And again: the abuse reports are really important for us!
Chat
The people you have Matched with will show up on the Chat tab ordered by the most to least recent. Click on the person’s name to start chatting. You can also send audio messages. To do that, click the audio icon once, record your message and click it again to send.
Super Like
On Lefty, you can chat unlimitedly with people you get a Match with. In other words, you can chat with those you like who also like you.
The Super Like improves your changes of a Match with someone you want to make sure to notice you. When you Like someone, you will get a Match if they like you back, either going through the Home screen or if they are a subscriber and see that you liked them.
A Super Like goes beyond!. It will send the other person an email, a notification and it will show up in their app in the Super Like tab. So, they will know you liked them and they will read your message. It’s still up to them to like you back (for free) so the Match happens and the conversation continues.
